Introduction to Poe

In our first ever show we give you a brief introduction to ourselves, our koala-fications, and a feel for what the show will sound like. This episode will also introduce listeners to the life of Edgar Allan Poe, one of America's most famous but least known authors.

Eventually - either here or as we develop avenues for analysis - we'll discuss Poe's Unity of Effect as well as his views on religion or lack thereof. For the facts of his life, we leaned pretty heavily on the biography from the Edgar Allan Poe Society of Baltimore and dipped into Wikipedia 'cause hey, why not? Also, at some point, Mike will be talking about a cure for nostalgia, and this is the best explanation we've found.
